Making & Donating Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for Local Hospitals in New Jersey

Our Story

Started from Holmdel, NJ. we use 3D printing technology learned from STEM and Robotic Program to make PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) and donate to local hospitals in NJ in a time of crisis from Coronavirus. My goal is to create 1000 face-shields or more if needed, based on funding, and donations. and the duration of Covid-19. Due to a shortage of PPE face-shields, I have decided to make as many of them possible to benefit the first responders to prevent infections from the deadly virus. We would like to invite more high school and middle school students to help this cause. We also would be happy to teach young kids and explain our project to them. Together, we can help NJ and make it stronger with this effort.

Holmdel Township May 2020 Newsletter

On 4/20/2020, we delivered our 1st batch of 50 face shields to Holmdel police and to our local hospitals. Thanks your for all of great heroes working on the frontline!

On 4/28/2020, we donated 100 face shields to the Center for Cultural & Creative Exchange (CCCE). The Thai Basil Restaurant also donates lunch boxes every Tuesday to RWJ Hospital through CCCE. CCCE picked up and delivered face shields & lunch boxes to frontline medical staff immediately. Thank you for all of the great heroes working on the frontline! They risk their lives and work tirelessly to rescue lives. We salute you!

On 5/1/2020, we are happy to donate 30 face shields to the Merwick Rehabilitation Center/Grace Garden at Plainsboro. They take care of elders during this difficult time. We hope they stay safe and healthy.

On 5/4/2020, we donated another 200 face shields to Holmdel police and to our local hospitals. Thanks your for all of great heroes working on the frontline!

On 5/6/2020, Dr. Bob Chen came and picked up 110 face shields. A representative of Hazlet Family Care, he and his coworkers need Personal Protection Equipment to deal with the pandemic that is still going on in New Jersey. He came to our house with a mask and was very friendly as he chatted with us about his work and how he was doing. We are very glad to meet the doctors that work so hard and need the PPE in person. Dr. Chen also emailed us a picture where they all wore the face shields. He told us the face shields is a big hit! We are glad to help!

On 5/11/2020, with our volunteer team effort, we were able to make and donate another 250 face within a week to Holmdel township and local hospitals. Holmdel Detective Eric Hernando came to pick it up and he always encouraged us with kind words. We have donated total of 500 face shields to Holmdel Township. We saw our face shields have been donated and used in Holmdel First Aid Squad. We are glad we can help these selfless frontline heroes and help the communities!

On 5/14/2020, we donated another 50 face shields to the Center for Cultural & Creative Exchange (CCCE). The CCCE picked up and delivered the face masks to the local hospitals to help our frontline workers!

On 5/18/2020, with our volunteer team effort, we were able to make and donate another 250 face within a week to Holmdel township and local hospitals. Holmdel Detective Eric Hernando came to pick it up and he always encouraged us with kind words. We have donated total of 750 face shields to Holmdel Township.

On 5/19/2020, we have donated 160 face shields to eye doctors and dental clinics in NJ and other states! When the project started, they contacted us about their need of face shields. They are glad to receive these face shields!

On 5/20/2020, we have donated 100 face shields to Toms River Community Medical Center! Their director is very happy to receive our face shields and thanks us for our help!

On 5/26/2020, we have donated additional 250 face shields to Holmdel Township! We have donated a total of 1000 face shields to Holmdel Township. We have reached our goal!

We donated 50 Face Shields to Point Boro First Aid Squad @Point Pleasant! Thanks all the front line workers! Thank you Karen & Kaylee for delivering! NJPPE have donated a total of 1600 face shields to local communities!

On 6/23/2020, we reached our final goal to donate 2,000 face masks by donating our last 400 face masks to various places in Monmouth County in preparation to reopening. These masks went to the the Center for Cultural & Creative Exchange (CCCE), Holmdel Boy Scout Troop 131, William Satz Schools, Jersey Shore Chinese School & Monmouth Community Christian Church. Thank you for supporting our project! This was a special journey we have been through together. We will never forget it.
